Hello, I have the same issue (R needed to restart, exit status 0).
It seem to be completly random...It's happenned very often this morning, so now I copy/paste my code to console. Positron install info :

I was writing code on a .qmd file and it gave me the error again, I wasn't even trying to execute a code.

I can confirm that the issue is actually only with a Quarto (.qmd) file. I copied my code in a .R file and ran it without any issues. |

We have a possible fix for you to try out @ravichowdhury88 if you are willing, which looks like it has helped in #3792. Can you please try:
.vsix
in Positron using the command "Extensions: Install from VSIX"
