Lu and I do dry runs, but she said she forgot in a few days. The documentation provided a lot more relief for her, but she retains more when she reads than when she does. So it depends from spouse to spouse. Overall, this is something that should be discussed. |

Regarding the financial side of things - one thing my wife and I do every year is take turns preparing taxes. That gives us both the ability to know what's going on.
Also, consider a consolidated bill pay service instead of providing an exhaustive list. By going to my Bill Pay, my wife can see all of the bills and then can reach out to those companies with account numbers etc. if she needs to.
We also use that as a dry run for bad situations. I.e.: last year for taxes, I made sure she could:
