I think it's fair to not limit when editor or gameplay is running. In fact, I think stable also does this. |

Some people will use osu! as a hitsounds player, in the replay or editor, the limited update rate (60fps 17ms) will cause hitsounds detach the music, that sounds weird...Mapping with split screen - a windowed osu! and a reference window, when focused on the reference window, osu!'s update rate will be limited to 60fps (17ms), cause hitsounds detach the music still playing.
