Tag users in editorial comments and send them notifications

Will you be planning to add a new feature for the editorial comments where they can mention a user like @username and that tag user will be get email notification?

This makes sense as a feature. Perhaps anyone added in this way could be inserted into the "Notifications" metabox for that post. That way then can also be easily seen and removed

One more request for this:

it would be really handy in the editorial comment area if another user in the system could be tagged via the traditional "@" or "+" syntax to send them a note about that comment.
