Performance opportunities - e.g. alternatives for pandas operations

In case we already optimized our pandas scripts as much as possible (after performance profiling and trying to adjust the pandas use) but still have performance issues we might consider the following:

• Modin. "Comment Matin: Nice. I'm starting to find that that dataframe solutions are mainly bottlenecked by ram and not speed. (however, for speed Modin seems to be a drop-in replacement for pandas)"
• Polars. "Comment Max: Polars has a good performance (pandas alternative with Python interface)."

Please share your thoughts in case you have more ideas.
