This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between
you - whether an individual, academic institution, research laboratory, or
a single corporate entity - ("User") and Guillaume Lessard, operating as
iD01t Productions ("Licensor"), for the QECTOR Decoder Workbench software
application, including but not limited to all executable binaries, graphical
interface components, command-line tools, MCP server modules, documentation
generators, configuration files, assets, icons, and accompanying electronic
documentation (collectively, the "Software").

BY DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING, COPYING, EXTRACTING, OR OTHERWISE USING THE
SOFTWARE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE
BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE
TO THESE TERMS, DO NOT DOWNLOAD, INSTALL, OR USE THE SOFTWARE.

  1.  GRANT OF LICENSE
----------------------------------------

1.1  Licensor hereby grants User a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide,
     fully paid-up, perpetual (subject to Section 9) license to:

     (a) Use and execute the Software on any number of devices owned or
         controlled by User;
     (b) Copy the Software for backup, archival, or internal distribution
         purposes;
     (c) Distribute unmodified copies of the Software to third parties,
         provided that this Agreement and all embedded notices are included
         with each copy;

     for any lawful purpose, including commercial, academic, educational,
     governmental, and personal applications, free of charge.

1.2  This license covers the QECTOR Decoder Workbench application only.
     The runtime backend engine (qector-decoder-v3) is a separately
     licensed component governed by its own terms - see Section 7.

  2.  RESTRICTIONS
----------------------------------------

User shall not:

2.1  Modify, remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, patent,
     or other proprietary notices, watermarks, or branding (including the
     "QECTOR" name and logo) embedded in the Software, its user interface,
     or any output, exports, or documentation generated by the Software.

2.2  Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to
     derive the source code of the Software's compiled binary components,
     except to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by
     applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.

2.3  Sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the Software as a standalone
     commercial product or service (e.g., offering the Software itself
     as a paid download or SaaS endpoint). Distributing unmodified copies
     free of charge is permitted under Section 1.1(c).

2.4  Use the Software for any unlawful purpose or in any manner that
     violates applicable local, national, or international law.

2.5  Remove, bypass, or circumvent any license validation, watermark
     embedding, or provenance tagging mechanisms present in the Software.

2.6  Represent or imply that any derivative work, service, or product
     is endorsed by, affiliated with, or certified by Licensor without
     prior written consent.

  3.  INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
----------------------------------------

3.1  The Software and all intellectual property rights therein - including
     but not limited to copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patents, and
     design rights - are and shall remain the exclusive property of
     Licensor. This Agreement does not transfer any ownership rights.

3.2  The "QECTOR" name, logo, icon, and associated branding elements are
     trademarks of Licensor. User may reference the QECTOR name solely to
     identify the Software in an accurate and non-misleading manner.

3.3  Any files, documentation, charts, reports, or data exported by the
     Software are the property of User, subject to:
     (a) Retention of all embedded "QECTOR" watermarks and provenance
         tags as required by Section 2.1; and
     (b) Accurate attribution when published or distributed.

  4.  USER-GENERATED OUTPUT
----------------------------------------

4.1  The Software generates analysis results, benchmark data, decode
     reports, and documentation in various formats (Markdown, JSON, HTML,
     LaTeX, PDF, SVG). User retains full ownership and usage rights over
     the substantive content of such output.

4.2  All generated output includes embedded provenance metadata and
     "QECTOR" attribution tags. User agrees not to remove or alter these
     tags. This requirement applies regardless of the output format or
     the purpose for which the output is used.

  5.  NETWORK & OFFLINE OPERATION
----------------------------------------

5.1  The Software is fully self-contained and operates entirely offline.
     The decoder engine wheel is bundled inside the application and is
     activated into a per-user managed directory on first launch without
     any network access. No update checks, package downloads, or online
     registrations occur at launch or during use.

5.2  The Software does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data,
     usage analytics, crash reports, or telemetry of any kind.

  6.  MCP SERVER & AI INTEGRATION
----------------------------------------

6.1  The Software includes a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that
     exposes decoder functionality via stdio JSON-RPC. When launched in
     MCP mode, the server communicates exclusively through local standard
     input/output streams. No network ports are opened and no data is
     transmitted externally.

6.2  User is solely responsible for the configuration, security, and
     usage of any AI agent, language model, or automation framework
     connected to the MCP server. Licensor assumes no liability for
     actions taken by third-party AI systems using the MCP interface.

  7.  THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS & BACKEND LICENSE
----------------------------------------

7.1  RUNTIME BACKEND:  The Software depends on the qector-decoder-v3
     engine at runtime. This backend is a separately licensed, source-
     available Rust/Python platform developed by the same author.

     The backend's license terms are distinct from this Agreement:

       * FREE for personal, academic, educational, and non-commercial
         research use.

       * COMMERCIAL USE (including but not limited to company R&D, SaaS,
         hosted APIs, OEM integration, and redistribution) REQUIRES A
         PAID COMMERCIAL LICENSE.

       * A 60-day commercial evaluation period is available, creditable
         against a full license purchase.

     USER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING COMPLIANCE WITH THE BACKEND'S
     LICENSE TERMS INDEPENDENTLY OF THIS AGREEMENT.

7.2  OPEN-SOURCE DEPENDENCIES:  The Software incorporates open-source
     libraries (including but not limited to NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib,
     Pillow, CustomTkinter, and psutil). Each library retains its
     original license. Use of the Software constitutes acceptance of
     those licenses. Copies of third-party licenses are available in
     the application's installation directory where applicable.

  8.  DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
----------------------------------------

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY
OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  (a) THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A
      PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT;

  (b) ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE,
      SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS;

  (c) ANY WARRANTY REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR CORRECTNESS
      OF DECODE RESULTS, LOGICAL ERROR RATES, BENCHMARK METRICS,
      SYNDROME ANALYSIS, OR ANY OTHER COMPUTATIONAL OUTPUT.

THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE QUALITY, PERFORMANCE, AND RESULTS OF THE
SOFTWARE REMAINS WITH USER.

LICENSOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE IS SUITABLE FOR USE IN
SAFETY-CRITICAL SYSTEMS, REAL-TIME FAULT-TOLERANT DECODING HARDWARE,
MEDICAL DEVICES, OR ANY APPLICATION WHERE FAILURE COULD LEAD TO
PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, OR SIGNIFICANT PROPERTY DAMAGE.

  9.  LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
----------------------------------------

9.1  TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT
     SHALL LICENSOR, ITS AFFILIATES, CONTRIBUTORS, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE
     FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY,
     OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE
     OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

       * Qubit loss or quantum state corruption
       * Decoder faults or incorrect error corrections
       * Corrupted, incomplete, or invalid syndrome data
       * Incorrect logical error rates or benchmark metrics
       * System downtime or computational resource loss
       * Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunity
       * Procurement of substitute goods or services

     REGARDLESS OF THE CAUSE OF ACTION OR THE THEORY OF LIABILITY
     (WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE), AND
     EVEN IF LICENSOR HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH
     DAMAGES.

9.2  IN JURISDICTIONS THAT DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF
     INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LICENSOR'S LIABILITY SHALL BE
     LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

9.3  IN NO EVENT SHALL LICENSOR'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THIS
     AGREEMENT EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY USER FOR THE SOFTWARE
     (WHICH, FOR THE FREE LICENSE, IS ZERO).

  10. INDEMNIFICATION
----------------------------------------

User agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Licensor, its
officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages,
losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney
fees) arising out of or related to:

  (a) User's use of the Software in violation of this Agreement;
  (b) User's violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  (c) Any third-party claim related to User's use of the Software or
      any output generated by the Software.

  11. TERMINATION
----------------------------------------

11.1 This Agreement is effective from the date User first uses the
     Software and remains in effect until terminated.

11.2 User's rights under this Agreement will terminate automatically
     and without notice if User fails to comply with any term or
     condition of this Agreement.

11.3 Upon termination, User must:
     (a) Immediately cease all use of the Software;
     (b) Destroy or delete all copies of the Software in User's
         possession or control;
     (c) Certify such destruction or deletion upon Licensor's request.

11.4 Sections 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13 shall survive any
     termination of this Agreement.

  12. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION
----------------------------------------

12.1 This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with
     the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to its
     conflict of law provisions.

12.2 Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement
     shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith
     negotiation between the parties. If resolution is not reached
     within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue remedies
     available under applicable law.

12.3 User agrees that any legal action or proceeding related to this
     Agreement shall be brought exclusively in the courts of competent
     jurisdiction in the Province of Quebec, Canada.

  13. GENERAL PROVISIONS
----------------------------------------

13.1 ENTIRE AGREEMENT:  This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement
     between User and Licensor regarding the Software and supersedes all
     prior or contemporaneous understandings, representations, and
     agreements, whether written or oral.

13.2 SEVERABILITY:  If any provision of this Agreement is held to be
     invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall
     continue in full force and effect.

13.3 WAIVER:  The failure of Licensor to enforce any right or provision
     of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or
     provision.

13.4 ASSIGNMENT:  User may not assign or transfer this Agreement or any
     rights hereunder without Licensor's prior written consent. Licensor
     may assign this Agreement without restriction.

13.5 AMENDMENTS:  Licensor reserves the right to modify this Agreement
     at any time. Updated terms will be included with new releases of
     the Software. Continued use of the Software after an update
     constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13.6 EXPORT COMPLIANCE:  User agrees to comply with all applicable
     export control laws and regulations. User shall not export or
     re-export the Software to any country, person, or entity
     prohibited by applicable law.
