I've noticed that tuning the bias current often fails. It looks like the algorithm is converging, but gives up too soon. Running the tuning process again seems to resolve this...

Needs somebody with deep understanding of the hardware design to analyze, improve, test, debug, characterize, document, maintain etc an improved algorithm.
