Feature paging

Is there any way of setting feature paging (like in some WFS implementations) for read operations. It would be great for large datasets

Currently no pagination is implemented

If there is no pagination, how come the attribute table window is paginated? Does it fetch the whole resultset and then paginate client side?
Attribute table is fundamentally broken as is. At least there should be a config parameter for datasets with the maximum number of rows returned by the data service. And maybe another one that disallows fetching a extent that does not fit the zoom level visibility of the layer. In fact, I think these are probably the most sensible and easiest to implement solutions.
