OpenPySCAD hasn't been touched in a year so a fork may be in order.

Closed as projection() wouldn't actually address our need here - because you can't seem to hull() 2D to 3D objects. project() will remain a function for now, as it keeps the code a little cleaner, but I'm pondering if it's actually appropriate.

Nonetheless, my PR was submitted a while back to have projection() integrated.
