Network (DNS?) issues. 1 Second Latency.

i installed rancher desktop and deployed an application. nothing special, no special settings. works well on docker for mac.
I seem to have problems with DNS in kubernetes.
Every ~4th request has a latency of +1 second. Internal as well as external.
I use containerd and have tried almost all hypervisor/networking settings, different kubernetes versions and so on.

does anyone have an idea?
i also resetted kubernetes and rancher desktop, rebooted my system and so on.
troubleshooting says everything is fine.

it's running on an apple m1 max macbook pro.
Containers are running the latest ubuntu lts.
