On the blog post it says One feature absent from this first release is interrupt support. RP1 provides two PIO interrupts, which can be triggered by the PIO instruction IRQ (interrupt request), and these could be used to trigger actions on the SoC.

Does this mean irq assembly command doesn't work at all or just between the rp1 and soc?

I want to sync two state machines with the irq like rp2040 - does this work as expected?

Synchronisation between state machines using the IRQ and WAIT instructions works as expected - it's hard to think how that could be broken - but there is no support for receiving interrupts on the SoC or RP1.
