What happens when there are no opaque surfaces to derate, e.g. fully-glazed housing units with cantilevered balconies? Currently, TBD simply skips any such situations - thermal bridging from the balconies are unfortunately ignored. Similarly to the ground-facing surface enhancement, this is neither considered a bug (to correct) nor considered a necessary enhancement as this stage. It may simply involve adding another user option (e.g. within the measure interface or enabled via a switch in the JSON file). One option (a Plan B) would be to attempt to derate other opaque, outside-facing surfaces in the same space or zone. Subsequent testing and user feedback would - in time - provide a better sense of the value of this first option, and any number of variants we may come up with.
