I highlighted a YouTube video, archived it, then tried to sync it.
Then I got the message that "readwise data is already up to date", even though it isn't.
In fact, any article or video is not exporting right now.

Hey @devinat1, I'm a contributor to the plugin that has experienced the same issue. You'll be happy to know that I'm working on some improvements to sync reliability.

tl;dr the issue is that the way the plugin currently tracks files often gets out of sync with reality - either losing track of files, or thinking it has already updated.

Keep an eye on these changes, they should all help with sync reliability:

That said, the changes will require that you opt into them as they use an alternate ("advanced") method of identifying synced notes: frontmatter.

In the meantime, you could just delete all your exports and reimport them (treat readwise exports as read-only), or delete individual exports using the Readwise official: delete and reimport document command in the command palette.
