I created a PR (#7833) for a part of it, but CLA is in the way.

realm2json tool mentions --link-depth switch which is not handled since v14.0.0 (9169fa1) and causes error.
From the changes in test_json.cpp it looks like it now works as if 0 was specified, is it worth explaining the change in the tool?
There is also a --filter switch which is not mentioned in tool documentation.
