Some themes need to have both light and dark variants installed to work #23

Been banging my had for a while with this issue I had, where I had the dark version the theme I use (adw-gtk3) installed, but no apps were using it. It would just use regular Adwaita at all costs. Only after trying to install the light version as well it started working.

It would be nice to add at least a warning about it possibly being an issue for some themes.

I'm having the same issue. Flatpak installed apps just ignore dark theme. For example: Meld and Filezilla respect the theme correctly if installed by apt, but not if I install them with flatpak. I have tried all Flatseal option with same result. Now I'm trying stylepak but I'm getting an error that I describe in this issue: #28

I didn't understand what you mean. You select a light theme and them reselect a dark theme ? What's your distribution ? Mine is Mint. Theme: Mint Y Dark

Hmm I can't reproduce this at all with adw-gtk3, is it possible that installing the light version just "triggered" something to make the dark version take effect?
