Creating data on a path with a period . doesn't explode properly

HTTP/2 201

But this makes:

{
  "blog.v2": {}
}

When it should make:

{
	"blog": {
		"v2": {
			"url": "…"
		}
	}
}

Also prevents delete etc because the path is hosed.
