Thanks again for the fork. I am using glmnet in our wrapper and noticed the builds for 3.12 failed. Wondering if you can publish a new wheel covering 3.12 as well. LMK if I am mistaken but I could not make it work in 3.12.4 at least same in CI

Unfortunately it's going to take some work for Python 3.12 and beyond because of the removal of numpy.distutils, which is used in the build process here (see e.g. https://numpy.org/doc/2.1/reference/distutils_status_migration.html).

At some point I took a stab at switching to CMake and scikit-build-core but hit a wall pretty fast. I have no familiarity with Fortran so my efforts here have been very much based in trial and error, which I don't think is going to cut it for a big migration 😅. If anyone has advice or suggestions feel free to let me know!

@bnaul Is this forked version published on Pypi? The civisanalytics team has confirmed that their package is no longer maintained.

Ah, I got confused because I was reading the README on Pypi which says"fork of" this repo itself.
