Yeah, this definitely makes sense. I also like the language-agnostic approach. IMO, it'd be fine to ask the user to opt-in and provide a file path and regex to match the version. You'll likely only have to configure this once & it'd work for any language & any config type. (https://twitter.com/_inesmontani/status/1105520531703517184)
