Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

when using rr.connect, I'd like to not have to specify my macbook's IP address.

Describe the solution you'd like

I'd like to say mbp.local:port instead of ip:port.
This is possibly useful for others as well: they can specify globally accessible domains.
