with Silverstripe 4.13 the

openDialog: function() {......

spits an error:

TypeError: el.getAttribute is not a function. (In 'el.getAttribute("id")', 'el.getAttribute' is undefined)

Noticed this as well but I have no idea what's causing this...
Something in core, apparently 🤷‍♂️
Maybe it has something to do with the way this module tries to workaround react stuff, I'll leave this ticket open for now.
