Custom editor / columnType per Row

Is there an easy way to have custom editors/column types per row? I would like to create a property editor like in some IDE's and require each row to have a custom editor. I can do this using a cellTemplate and a custom editor implementation, but is there an easier way?

Yes, we've thought about it too. You can have multiple cell formats in one column but technically I would probably do some kind of unified/combo editor which then would split based on some parameter to the one you need based on cell? Does this concept makes sense for you?
