The “Preface to Document Version” is not concise and could be organized on revision history table. On documents that are always under so much change it is an industry standard (present on AMD, MIPS and Synopsys manuals) to have a table with the concise changes between manual versions. This helps to understand changes from one version to another with much less effort. In addition to this, it would be necessary to separate the new table from the “Base-Version-Status” table. I believe having one section for each would be a more organized way and improve the reader's experience.
