lol, dude I tried to fix the issue with live server on my mac and like i said its a complete waste of time. I had to learn Webpack 5 and now I no longer need live server to link/read/write files to javascript projects. I got a good understanding of bundling and using Webpack's "dest" folder . Drilling myself and burning to learn was the only way because of how unhelpful the javascript community was. You are absolutely right "No one should want anything for free"! No wonder no one fixes anything and because I said it does not work I must fix it lol. The youtube open source community is much better products like this made me dislike Javascript because other programming communities are much better.
