Currently, this app has only been tested on mac. It might already work on windows but I can't guarantee it rn.

Can you have a contributing.md doc which outlines how to build this thing, so that people can get started easily?

I have added the guidelines for mac and how to integrate other platforms. Let me know if some info is missing. That will help me in improving that section.
