This capability was a long-term wish for me.. as soon as this came out I was thinking how to bring it into homeassistant. I started working on a HACS integration and was able to finish it today. Please see below. Would love the feedback!

Hi @nomi25home — this is awesome, congratulations on shipping it! 🎉 Home Assistant integration has been on a lot of people's wish lists, and a HACS add-on is exactly the right shape for it — nice work getting it across the finish line so quickly after the project launched.

I took a quick look at the repo (nomi25home/homeassistant-openwa-whatsapp) and it looks clean. A few things worth flagging:

• We'd love to list it in our community integrations doc (docs/23-community-integrations.md) — would you be up for that? If yes, I'll add a short entry linking back to your repo with a one-line description. (Or feel free to open a PR yourself if you'd prefer to control the wording.)
• If you hit any OpenWA API quirks while extending it (webhook event shapes, message status enums, anything), the API docs at /api/docs are the source of truth, and you're always welcome to ask here.
• For anything that looks like a real bug rather than a usage question, a GitHub issue with a repro is faster than a discussion.
