The library is very easy to use, the formula is defined through a string. The only obstacle that I see here is the argument parsing of portmonitors/carrier that it is very tricky.
This issue has also the purpose to trigger a discussion about the interest of enhancing the portmonitor UX.

It would be nice to implement a portmonitor that applies to incoming/outcoming data a user-defined mathematical formula.
