Hi, this is a translation, so I apologize if it's not correct.
It would be great if you could choose generation options (especially color) when mass-generating images. Currently, mass-generation is done in white color, and in most cases, with figurines, this produces poor results (textures aren't visible, etc.).
Color changing the model was in previous version 15.x but I accidentally hid the option from the UI in 16.0 when refactoring some code. I fixed the regression in 16.4.
The multicolor view in your original image is only available for STL files and manually set using the "Normal material" icon in the 3d viewer like your original image. There's currently no way to set the "Normal material" as the default instead of the solid color but something I can look into adding a setting for if there's interest.
I understand you, yes, this function would be very useful to me, if it is not too much trouble for you.
What needs to be done? Or are you talking about what if other users want it too?
I added the option in settings to change the material type. Bulk image generation and upload should now capture images based on the setting. See release notes v0.17.0
