Text rendering not working

The widgets aren't working, there is a GUI but nothing can be read, no kind of text or highlight can be seen, the only thing I saw was a warning icon when I typed random characters. I built it with lua, couldn't got QTDIR working, something with qmake bin dir not found, and QT creator wasn't helping either, I got the debian apt and not the official installer, as it's an installation that is paid, well anyways not working, please help.

That looks strange. If you just start the app it should look like this:

The BUSY build doesn't use Fontconfig by default, so you have to make sure that there is a ".font" directory in your home directory which includes some .ttf files (e.g. the default dialog font of your system).

Mighty Rochus Keller, OMG!, nope there isn't such a .font folder in my /home directory, Bodhi Linux distro, a distro based on debian with Moksha DE based on EFL.

EbnfStudio should be able to find the font if you just create such a ".font" folder and copy your standard system font there.

Alternatively, add "HAVE_FONTCONFIG" to the EbnfStudio BUSY file, so that the corresponding line looks like this

submod qt = ../LeanQt (HAVE_ITEMVIEWS, HAVE_FONTCONFIG)

instead of this

submod qt = ../LeanQt (HAVE_ITEMVIEWS)

and rebuild the application (you might have to manually remove the object files in the output folder).

QBasicFontDatabase: Cannot find font directory /home/user/.fonts - is Qt installed correctly?
That's what it asks running ./EbnfStudio. I don't know why I doesn't have it, but seems people using Ubuntu and other distros had the same problem. Now there is a file that is called BUSY.ebnf, inside syntax folder of /BUILD_DIR/build, but it isn't such line as submod qt = ../LeanQt (HAVE_ITEMVIEWS, HAVE_FONTCONFIG). Nevermind I found it, isn' that one, is the one in "/BUILD_DIR/EbnfStudio" named BUSY. Alright I create it and I have to put there my standard system font?, how do I know what's my system font, and do I have to delete all the output folder and rebuild can't I keep the QT one? cause it spend a lot building, well it won't kill me trying. how do I know what's my system font

As far as I remember you can put any TTF font in the .fonts directory and LeanQt (i.e. EbnfStudio) should find it. Try e.g. DejaVu Sans or Noto Sans which are available for free all over the web. If you do that, you don't have to modify BUSY nor rebuild. This two options are exclusive. If it works when you created .fonts with a font in it, just go on with that.
