pre-built W32 version #13
Comments
https://sourceforge.net/projects/bashdb/files/remake/3.82%2Bdbg-0.9/ has remake.exe. I built it on an XP vm under cygwin, so I don't know if it will work for you. |
actually I think I mis-spoke. What I need is a version that will run in the command line prompt under windows 7 |
I did try the executable but it failed missing a cygwin dll |
Ok. No doubt it could be done, but I'm not going to be the one to do it. I'll leave this open in the off chance someone else wants to tackle. |
@rocky I have a Windows machine, I might be able to get this working. Perhaps remake could benefit from AppVeyor. AppVeyor has MinGW, MSYS, and Cygwin pre-installed in their build environment. |
@tay10r Great! I hope you get this working. As for AppVeyor, I use it in some other projects. I haven't spent a lot of time trying to undestand its configuration in any detail. So what I suggest is fork the code to a public github account. Enable appveyor on that and set up all the various configurations you want. And when the dust settles put in a PR. |
Is there a precompiled version of latest remake for Windows7. I have had no luck in building this code using CygWin or VisualStudio. |
Is it at all possible to get a pre-built version (i.e. the .exe file) of remake, preferably 3.82 as that is the version of the GNU Make I am using, for Windows 32 ?
I have had no luck building the source code.
Thanks
Bob Workman
