Describe the bug
Changing Emulator will cause entire library have to be re-imported in order for game installs to work. Already "installed" games will still work once changed in Playnite.

As an example: I started out with simple64 as the emulator, but later changed to Mupen64Plus-Next through RetroArch. Then I got the error.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Set N64 emulator to simple64
  2. Add emulator and profile to Playnite RomM addon.
  3. Import game library from RomM to Playnite.
  4. Install random N64 game and launch emulator.
  5. Close game and remove simple64 from Playnite and RomM addon.
  6. Install other N64 emulator (I used RetroArch) and set up in Playnite and RomM addon.
  7. Try and install other N64 game previously not yet installed.
  8. Get "GameError", see screenshot below.
  9. Try installed game, works without issue and launches in new emulator.

Expected behavior
Be able to install game through RomM as previously once you changed the Emulator settings in Playnite, and launch with new set emulator, preferably without having to reimport entire N64 library.

Additional notes:
I am pretty sure this is related to the addon, and not Playnite itself.
