I installed ros-foxy-joy using apt. When the wrong input device is specified or permissions aren't set correctly, no warning or debug message will be shown in the logs. I believe in ROS1 there was an error or warning message shown when this happens.

I'm using an xbox360 controller.

ROS2 Foxy, Ubuntu 20.04
