Messages are difficult to notice when window is not in focus

It would be very helpful if, when I receive a message and the window is not in focus, that I receive a notification and/or a red notification badge on the app. (I don't know if non-Mac systems have badges.)
When I messaged my counselor about something and she didn't see it for a while, she also said it would be nice if they made a sound - that can be a good temporary fix if making notifications is complicated.

I can try to add in desktop notifications for Windows - I'm pretty sure that you need your app on Windows Store to get badges like Mail does on Windows, but desktop notifications should work regardless. Not very familiar with Vue but I'll make a PR when I'm done so Ross can review it.

Having worked with Electron before, I know that it's possible to create desktop notifications through that on any platform.
I'm on a Mac by the way.

This is much better, except I get a notification whenever I send something as well! Fixing that is not so important, but thought I'd put it out there.

Sorry, I haven't quite made a fix yet, life's happened and other stuff I have to do is getting in the way. I should be able to use the JS Notification API to add a notification, I'm just dealing with some of the math first before working on improving this platform :)

The Notification API is also being used in 91174c8 and there are also audio alerts. It was a bit annoying since these things have to be done in the renderer instead of the main process, so some IPC had to happen.

But yes, please focus on the math!
