Generate manifest step

Capture

The Generate manifest step will collect the values you enter to build a channel manifest file. You must enter:

  • The channel major, minor, and build values.
  • The channel title.
  • The feed URL. This should be your Direct Publisher feed file.
  • Splash color to be used should your splash image not cover the entire screen.
  • The background color of the screens in your channel.
  • The video resolutions your channel content supports.
  • If you are planning to monetize your channel with RAF, you must set this switch.
  • If you are planning to offer subscriptions for your channel, you must set this switch.

Additional optional settings are available to control the UI of your channel. The bottom of your manifest file contains the following settings:

  • USE_THUMBNAIL_BACKGROUND - Sets the background of the channel to the thumbnail image of the currently focused item in the grid.
  • TEXT_COLOR - Sets the foreground color of the text to the requested color.

To use these optional settings, uncomment the setting and re-zip your channel package.
