General Dependency Updates #1098
Description
We are currently on Ethers v5 and older versions of Hardhat, ZKsync tooling, and Ledger integration. This causes some pains and should be eventually fixed. To name a few:
- No EIP-1559 transaction support
- No clear signing support on Ledger for EIP-712 typed data messages
- Chain ID is a number, so it will cause issues when a large chain ID comes along
- etc.
This is has a lot of unknowns and may take a longer than expected to fix.
