So I went back and realized the clock pin is also not connected on these carts... They can be dumped fine, as long as Maybe the story is a bit different with Codemaster carts... but my initial question is answered. |

I was considering dumping a Game Gear cart that uses the clock pin (e.g. any 1MB ROM with mapper chip 315-5912). Does the Sega Master System/Game Gear module output a clock signal to this pin?
On SMS schematic, slot pin 47 is connected to SI5351 CLK0. This doesn't match what's documented on pinout spreadsheet, which instead assigns SMS/GG clock pin to D16/PH1. However, the module itself doesn't appear to use clockgen. Neither do I see PH1 being used (don't know if it could be controlled to output 3.5MHz pulses). I was expecting some setup similar to N64 EEPROM clock, or maybe
pulse_clock()
like in Mega Drive module.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
