Hi,

a change in dask lead to an issue in dask-awkward which leads to uproot.dask() not working with a brand new install including dask=2024.12.0.
dask-contrib/dask-awkward#557

I guess it is going to be fixed soon (dask-contrib/dask-awkward#556), but just in case other users stumble over it I just wanted let you know that this exists.

Not sure if this is the right place to post it as this is not a direct uproot issue, but it leads to a not working function, so I think it is not too bad to mention.

Cheers!

@jpwgnr - I see that the mentioned PR has been merged and there is also a new dask-awkward release 2025.2.0. Could you, please, confirm if this issue can be closed? Thanks!

Hi,
yes, I run it now with both dask and dask-awkward with version 2025.2.0 and it works fine.
Thanks for getting back to it.
