Add guidelines on what icons should look like #85
Comments
I would like to add:

The screenshots page adds CSS drop shadows to all icons, so I'm not entirely sure we should be recommending adding them to the icons themselves or else then you would have it double. |
Ok, I was thinking of this kind of shadows. For example the white shadow around the black text. |

I would like to see some guidelines added to the Readme describing what new icons should look like.
Should they focus on the game title or the main character? Have a transparent background? What size and aspect ratio?
Also, if there are certain copyright guidelines we need to follow, that should be added too. Can we just crop the box art/the title screen/GOG icon and call it a day? Or does it need to have some level of originality?
Even better would be an example of the process of how to create an icon. For instance, if an icon for a game is derived from a title screen, show the original title screen screenshot and explain the steps to get it into the final icon and why certain decisions were made.
