right now, multiple checks that do the same thing might look like this:

        check = <suit> == "Diamond"
            font = [RedSuit]
        endcheck

        check = <suit> == "Heart"
            font = [RedSuit]
        endcheck

there should be and and or logical operators. they should probably also support parenthetical nesting.
