Similar to ENCODE, we would like to add QC flags to samples that would be filter-able in a sample search.
Use case 1 - "No Motif"
If i check a sample and it has a bad motif or “motif”, then can I add a “No Motif” in an audit tag pulldown menu?
Use case 2 - "Low complexity"
Auto-add a “Low complexity” if dedup is below a threshold (like threshold for highlighting a sample red in the metrics)
Motivation
If i am looking for samples for an analysis, it would make life easier if there were filter options to get avoid samples that didn't "work." Especially with all the optimization being done in the lab, there are lots of samples like this in PEGR right now.
Biochemists could curate as they go and keep a digital record (rather than just whatever they note in their lab notebooks) and it might encourage use of the Projects feature.
Managing Audit tag options
I propose only admin can add new tag labels. Users can edit their samples notes field and if a note is popular enough, users can request an admin add an audit tag.
