Upload speed seems slow #134

Hi,
After I test this code on my local VM , I transfer a 100MB file between my VirtualPC and browser , the upload speed is only 1Mbps. But the transfer speed using ftp is around 1.4Gbps.
Can you tell me maybe which part was wrong ??

Socket.io incurs some overhead like serializing into the web socket, writing the file to a WriteStream, etc. I'm a bit surprised the difference would be quite that large, though.
