Hello @kibotu. In Xamarin (visual studio 2017 at 29/01/2019) doesn't work!

The only thing that worked for me was:

Edit AndroidManifest.xml:
Add this --> android:theme="@style/Theme.AppCompat.DayNight.NoActionBar"
