Do I need AppScale to use Neptune?

Does the user need to manually start AppScale in order to use Neptune? Since Neptune already has the Amazon credentials, could it automatically start AppScale for the user?

Right now, the user has to start AppScale by hand before they can run Neptune jobs. However, your reasoning is correct - it would be pretty interesting to add a Neptune job type that starts up AppScale. Looking into what that would take now and will sketch something up.
