Opentrackkinect not working

I own a Kinect v1 and I have the Kinect 1.8 sdk. I installed open track and opentrackkinect but it is not working. When I open opentrackkinect the ir laser lights up in my Kinect but the coordinates don't move. I own a bit older version of open track because I needed the UDP Sender and the new one didn't have it; when I try moving around, the opentrack octopus does not move at all. Keep in mind I have everything installed that I need but it isn't working.
