Can this firmware be used on the Attiny84?
If so what modifications need to be done?

I'm also quite interested in this - I don't seem to be able to find anything online about this.

The ATtiny chips have analog comparators and the ATtinyX4 series seems to have just enough pins for PWM control - and if the RST pin is disabled I believe it would even be possible to use i2c.
