Hi,

I was trying to find some extra information on sems media server, but many of the links are broken.

If you are interested in writing your own applications, the
application development tutorial is a good start
(http://www.iptel.org/sems/sems_application_development_tutorial),
together with the design overview
(http://www.iptel.org/files/semsng-designoverview.pdf) and the example
applications (apps/examples/).

Do these documents still exist? If not is there any recommended place to find out about this stuff.

Cheers
Mark

Hi Mark,

thanks for reporting this.

Indeed, the readme is quite an outdated thing of the sems project (our version of the sems project).
I've been meaning for a long while already to re-write it fully, and, probably I will schedule this for the nearest future.

BR,
Donat

Hi Donat,

Im looking at implementing some basic INFO/msml support for a small POC (act like a mrf).

Is this something that could be of use?

Checking the source I see your project doesn't support INFO (at least the enum doesn't) so I would need to update some core elements. I cant see any unit tests, is there any regression tests that can be run?

Cheers
Mark

Hi @markch123 ,

From what I know, the MSML format is not supported by us, so very unlikely you can use the SEMS as the MRF.
Probably we could try to work on that, but it's definitely not of importance for us, so I wouldn't expect this to happen soon.

Regarding the unit tests, indeed the project is not covered with it, and this is so far one of the potholes, we have to fix.
It's a target of ours for the future to let the sems community edition support auto-tests, but unfortunately I haven't had time for that yet.

In regards of the INFO method, the community edition, from what I see, supports the INFO for application/dtmf-relay bodies, only that. For other things around the INFO method, the community edition is rather weak :/

F.Y.I.: this is the CE version of ours, and main development happens in the PRO, which is closed from the public.
