This project is aimed at exploring the influence of financial news on stock prices. Inspired by the previous studies, the team classified financial news as sentiment factors and checked causality between these factors and stock prices. Further, the team hopes to design a tradable portfolio basing on their final findings.

For this project, I like the decision that the team chose to use the headers of the news instead of the whole article. This can reduce the workload of collecting and processing data while still remain representative. Moreover, the methods used by the team, such as polarity classification and causality analysis, are reasonable and smart. Third, the report has a clear logic and is easy to follow even for people outside the team. However, there are small typos throughout the report and figure 4 and 5 seem to be identical. Overall, the report was very well organized.
