Cache folder (Download Directory) not behaving as expected upon import from URL version 1.6.1 #127

Plugin version: 1.6.1
Blender version: 4.0.2

Expected behavior

  • Models and thumbnails are imported to "Download directory" as indicated by end-user under preferences, regardless of drive Blender is installed to
  • End-user does not have to hunt down where files are downloaded

Actual behavior

  • Models are not located in folder as indicated by the end-user under preferences, only thumbnails of random things
  • Model is within Blender 4.0.2 viewport and can be edited, but I have no idea where the temporary model is, if not in that directory
  • There is a single .cache file located under users/(mycomputer)/AppData/Roaming/Blender Foundation/Blender/4.0/sketchfab_cache, but that is not the folder it is supposed to be going to if that is the "model"

How to reproduce

  1. Fill in Download Directory to new folder on a drive where Blender is not installed
  2. Import from URL
  3. Look in folder and see that it is devoid of anything resembling an imported model

For testing purposes, this happens to be the URL: https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/bulldog-puppy-7081c9c27df244bf84774361888f58a2

Additional Info
.csv history file, which is located in same directory, is working fine and information is appended as imports happen. Permissions to import appear to be set up properly.

Thank you for your time.
