We are about to release (actually it is released) - happy agent, which allows any session to spawn sessions - feel free to use it, may be it will work for you. I am looking at improving the UI part to be closer to codex, i think we had too much focus for tools and stuff, but it is now thing of the past. |

Reddit post.
First, I use Android and Linux.
I want to be able to use Codex anytime, anywhere.
I just learned about Happy a few days ago. It is almost exactly what I wanted.
However, it is still missing something.
I do not care about Claude Code(closed source and expensive). I want an app that has the full feature set of Codex Cli like resuming and slash commands.
I also want the ability to run Codex on schedule or triggers like OpenClaw.
I prefer the one-session-per-task way of working (minimizing scope), so I do not want to use OpenClaw. Also, I do not think a general chat app interface is suitable for using Codex.
I like the daemon and relay server design of Happy(good for containerization)(trolling: maybe rewrite in Rust?). The android app has many issue(voice not work, cannot upload file, inbox not working, cannot delete session, can not revive a dead session, session shows alive but no response).
My ideal Codex Android app will look like a mix of Happy and the Codex IOS app, and with even more features.
