Generating the initial bec raster on GTS takes 12-14min vs ~3 on my laptop.

  • moving all input data files to T: does not make a noticeable difference.
  • installing becmodel and requirements to T: does not make a noticeable difference

A hardware bottleneck seems very unlikely. Simply calling becmodel --help is sluggish too, maybe there is something in the conda installation that is slowing things down?
