On a Debian Stretch server, I had to install the packages "libssl-dev" and "g++" to prevent errors on "bundle install --deployment".

Also, as MySQL has been replaced by MariaDB, I had to install "libmariadbclient-dev".

Thanks for reporting. Looks like there are several issues with the Debian scripts.

Just referencing #377 here so we take this into account when working on that PR.
